Baumit Österreich

We make it simple! empowers employees and customers

For Baumit Austria, the significance of this task is clear. It is about meeting the needs of the customers. But what do the customers need? How can we make it easier for them to use a service? These questions are asked by employees in every department, because they all work together to satisfy the needs of their customers. And that in turn also strengthens the team itself.

Meeting customer needs is the key to success
The success of a building materials company depends on the sale of building materials to customers. But why do they buy from Baumit Austria in particular? It‘s quite simple! Baumit products are not only innovative, sustainable and diverse, but also precisely tailored to customer needs.

Contributing to our customers‘ success makes us stronger
Baumit focuses on the wishes of its customers. That is why Baumit is perceived and valued as a loyal business partner. And that is precisely why Baumit is also recommended to others, which in turn is important for future success. The employees of Baumit Austria also see their own colleagues as “customers”. They make each other‘s tasks and everyday life easier by asking each other what they really need. So customer orientation also works internally.

The most important “purchase drivers” at a glance

  • Trust and reliability
  • Product: quality
  • Product: workmanship
  • Product: range
  • Conservation of resources & sustainability

What loyal customers value
Focusing on what is important to the customer gives you a huge competitive advantage in the long run. Of course, it requires commitment and hard work. The reward is truly loyal customers.

Top 5 reasons to buy
Baumit has taken a close look at the needs of its customers. The result is astounding: over 40 criteria influence the decision to buy something or from a particular manufacturer. But only four to five criteria determine over 50% of the actual purchase decision.

We are Baumit

We make it simple.

What is behind it? Doing something without hesitation. Making complicated things simple. All employees together. Baumit‘s products and services help customers to quickly and easily overcome their challenges. In an increasingly complex world, Baumit helps you to succeed.

Baumit has already made things easier

Baumit uses digital solutions to make life easier for employees and customers. The company‘s sales team is pleased with the digital solution “SalesForce”, because it allows the field service to work more efficiently and avoids errors in administration. “SalesForce” is directly linked to the digital customer portal. This allows customers to view their orders and delivery notes on a daily basis. At the same time, the field representative knows which actions he can offer the respective customer. The SharePoint is also a great help. Here you can store and edit documents as you would on your own computer. The big difference is that anyone who has the access rights can access it. A storage and work platform for everyone replaces many manually maintained lists or data stored somewhere. This makes it easier to work. A clear simplification for customers is the Baumit online color consultation via video, which has been successfully booked since its introduction in 2024.

Training for processors

Baumit also actively supports companies that want to focus more on the area of thermal renovation: dedicated Baumit application instructors train them directly on the construction site.

Baumit is taking thermal renovation into its own hands

The thermal renovation of a building is a complex matter. More and more Austrians want to renovate their house, but don‘t know where to start. Baumit Austria has recognized that people urgently need support here. To drastically reduce the energy consumption of a house, you need not only building materials and insulation systems, but above all knowledge, experience, experts in the energy sector and financing, as well as a strong network of partners. And these are exactly the things that Baumit Austria provides.

All departments work together
To achieve the climate targets, a large proportion of existing buildings in Austria must be brought up to date, especially in terms of energy consumption. The individual federal states offer attractive subsidies. Baumit takes people by the hand and guides them from the planning stage to the subsidy. A comprehensive brochure provides information about the background and necessary steps. Last doubts are dispelled and the path to implementation is made easy. The brochure was distributed at the trade shows at the beginning of 2024 and 2025 and has already been updated several times.

Expert tips on
Baumit doesn‘t just leave it at a brochure, but also brings together experts in financing, funding, loans, energy advice and certified processors of facade insulation. Valuable tips and information are provided in blog posts, in the customer magazine, in webinars with high-profile participants and in thematically in-depth folders.

One-stop reorganization advice – four easy-to-book packages
Baumit offers the possibility to book personal appointments with external experts via the website. Together with selected energy consultants, four packages have been put together to guide customers step by step through their renovation project and help them to successfully complete it.

Workshops for property management companies
More and more often, property managers are faced with the challenge of planning the thermal renovation of a large, multi-storey building. Baumit Austria reacts immediately and invites property managers, cooperatives, architects and building contractors to a two-day workshop at which experts with years of experience in the field speak and offer solutions. Due to its great success, the event will continue to be offered in the future.

Uncomplicated and fast – Austrian flood relief

When Austria needs help, Baumit provides support with all the means at its disposal, such as in autumn of 2024 during the flood disaster. The management quickly decided on a campaign that, thanks to the strong reach via social channels, also quickly reached people. Those affected by flood damage were provided with €500, which could be used to buy building materials from Baumit partners in the immediate surrounding.. In this simple and direct way, a total of €100,000 in building materials was donated to people who had lost their homes within a few days.

“It‘s a drop in the ocean, but especially in such difficult times, even that provides a little relief and perhaps shows a little that we are helping and supporting each other.”
